The last change I made to LCS made it dependent on the Flex SDK. Problem is, that alienated the Flash CS3 folks since it’s difficult to use those classes within Flash CS3.  And well since that’s most Flash developers these days, I suppose it would be silly not to find a solution!

I’ve got at working proof of concept of this on my machine. However it duplicates code and requires a refactor. This will be my next contribution to the source and will be a significant change. When I’m done, we should have a core class which is AS3 only and a “Service” class which uses the core class and the Flex SDK.

Oh, and I’m looking for contributors!

I’ve updated the code base so that there is no longer an “Actionscript only” version of the project, but instead it uses the open source Flex SDK . The .swc has been compiled in such a way that you are able to run the examples stand-alone in Flex Builder 3 and Flash CS4.

If you re-compile the source source code you will need to have rpc.swc  from the Flex SDK in your classpath. This is much much easier to do with Flash CS4 which is why there is not an example app for CS3 up at the moment.
